The proposed minimal sculpture is an urban/sculptural response
to the clear spatial and processional quality of Sutton Walk. The
sculpture is formed by two intersecting frames, which emit light
and text through its surfaces creating a dynamic display of electronically
generated information on South Bank Arts activities.
The linear linking and bridging of the space by lines and planes
of changing light will create new experiences, as the perception
of the relationship between the original and the new geometry will
constantly change. The sculpture will thus continually visually
redefine Sutton Walk both on approach as well as whilst walking
through it.
