Emslie Horniman Park, London
Winner, Kensington & Chelsea Environment Award 1999 and Britain in Bloom Environmental Improvement Award 1999

London Borough of Kensington & Chelsea with awards from the Arts, Sports and Heritage lottery distributors

The project involved the total redesign and revitalisation of Emslie Horniman Pleasance, a public park located in a particularly deprived neighbourhood of North Kensington.
Owned by the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea the park is now a vital local asset in an area where the ratio of open space to population is by far the lowest in London.
The redesign involved major improvements to the park and its environs together with the restoration of its centrepiece, a listed walled garden by the eminent Arts and Crafts architect, CFA Voysey.
